NAME: “The Delayed Gratification”
LOCATION: My Fridge, Prague, Czech Republic
INGREDIENTS: Big Czech roll, tomatoes, mayonnaise, horseradish mustard, spicy ham, cheese (pepperjack?)
NOTES: The sandwich currently sits in my refrigerator, as I locked myself out shortly after taking this photo. Some concerns: the bread could get soggy from the tomatoes; the sandwich could absorb the flavors of everything in the refrigerator, resulting in a crushing intensity of taste (could be good, though?). Why do individual sandwich components keep so much better than a sandwich made from these same components? Is this because of the universe’s overwhelming tendency towards chaos, away from order? I might have to sleep on the street tonight.
